About Us
The Dynamic Shooter’s Academy is the result of a collaborative effort between Clive Brockdorff and Luke Testaferrata Moroni Viani, currently two of Malta’s leading target shooters and both MISSIA (International Practical Shooting Confederation) – certified instructors.
Believing that we always have more to learn, we have been developing our skills for several years, attending courses by international champions, competing at the highest levels abroad and constantly questioning and refining our methods – an exciting, challenging and ongoing process.
Having got a lot of satisfaction from our shooting, we enjoy passing on what we have learned to others so that they can reach their goals.
I started shooting as soon as it was legal to do so back in the mid-2000’s, first focusing on precision pistol and then dipping a toe into the world of IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation). Qualified as an IPSC Range Officer since 2008 and currently the regional director for this discipline, I’ve worked to develop the sport to a point where we now have Maltese shooters travelling to big overseas matches. I myself have competed in a number of Level III and IV matches abroad, representing Malta at the 2016 European Handgun Championships and the 2017 World Shoot in Standard Division. 2019 promises to be a busy year for me, with a number of big international matches including the IPSC European Handgun Championships as well as a number of local activities.

From the very start of my shooting career, I quickly got hooked on the adrenaline rush offered by dynamic shooting disciplines and soon realised that I wanted to reach the highest possible skill levels. I’ve been an active shooter for over 6 years now and, while there is always more to learn, feel that I have a lot to offer to up and coming target shooters. Having represented Malta at a number of Level III matches as well as at the IPSC European Handgun Championships and the World Shoot in Production Division, I look forward to a busy few years ahead, with the forthcoming IPSC European Handgun Championships in September 2019 while always refining my skills on the international circuit and passing on what I learn to others.

Courses
Taking into account that all shooters have particular requirements, we try to ensure that the services we provide are matched as closely as possible to your needs by fitting you into one of our different, specially designed training courses.
We can also develop bespoke sessions for any individual shooter who wants to tackle a particular issue in his or her target shooting development.
Safety remains the main priority at all times and we pride ourselves on turning out some of the safest, most aware shooters in Malta, at whatever skill level they happen to be. Our ratio of students to instructor is never more than 3:1, ensuring maximum attention and an efficient use of your time. All courses are held at a shooting range in Malta or Gozo and include materials designed to remind you of what was covered as well as provide ideas for ongoing training.

Today I`ve just attended “The Fundamentals of Precision” session instructed by Clive. It was a great experience since it was my first time shooting a pistol. Clive was very dedicated and meticulous showing the best basics of safety and shooting.
My wife and I did a bespoke dynamic and precision shooting course with Clive. Really beneficial to go back to basics and build up a solid platform from which to work. Gained loads more confidence in shooting IPSC from attending the course. Trying to book in the next one already!
